1. New High School Courses :

2. NEW BLOCK SCHEDULE

See the link in the chart below for an explanation of our new schedule as well as instructions for how to request the Early (on A-Days) Schedule.

3. VIRTUAL CLASSES: Everyone can now choose one or two virtual classes WITH PARENT PERMISSION INDICATED BY A SIGNATURE ON THE ENROLLMENT WORKSHEET.
Virtual class numbers begin with a "2." If you need more than 2 virtual courses, speak with your counselor or fill out the Full-Time Virtual Academy Request.

We cannot guarantee that a virtual course will be scheduled for a specific block. We are collecting requests for zero block and believe we can accommodate those requests. This is a change from the original language on the Enrollment Worksheet due to updated system limitations.

If you are a PM Tech student, your virtual courses will be 2nd and 6th blocks as you are traveling to Tech during this time.

4. CONCURRENT COURSE CHANGES:

Eligible students may request these courses in SchooLinks: eligibility requirements are listed in the "TCC Concurrent Course" resource in the chart below. Listing the course in SchooLinks does NOT enroll you in a college course. You must follow the steps to apply, then enroll in courses before the end of the semester or you will be placed in JHS classes.

Our new block scheduling limits our ability to individualize a student's schedule.

We cannot guarantee a concurrent course will appear in a specific block, but concurrent courses might be scheduled during zero block if you are on Early Schedule. This is a change from the original language on the Enrollment Worksheet due to updated system limitations.

5. Choose Alternates carefully. Alternates may now be pre-loaded into PowerSchool, and the computer will automatically schedule an alternate if your first choice elective is full, no longer offered, or if it creates an irresolvable schedule conflict with another elective or required class. (If you didn't provide alternates, they will be chosen for you.)
