Logging Into Canvas

Working through this tour will set you up for success in Canvas, but first things first, let's review how you log into Canvas.

Logging In on a Computer or Laptop: Go to Jenks.instructure.com

Please remember that you'll always log-in at jenks.instructure.com. Above, you see the log-in interface you'll always see if you're accessing Canvas in an internet browser .  As you already know (because you've already successfully logged in!), a parent or guardian logs into Canvas with the username and password created when he or she signed up for their Canvas account.

Logging Into the 'Canvas by Instructure' Mobile App:

After installing the 'Canvas by Instructure' app on your device(s), you must locate your school district by typing:

jenks.instructure.com

INTO the 'Find Your School or District' field when prompted.

Only after taking this step can you log into the Canvas app on your mobile device (example). 

 

You should be aware that most, but not all, functions in Canvas are available in the Canvas Mobile App.  Click here Links to an external site. for more information. Keep in mind that many functions relate to teacher and/or student roles in Canvas courses and may not be available to Observers.
